Bursa Technical University Automotive Application and Research Center (BTU-BOTAM) was established to conduct research and development activities in the field of automotive technologies.

The center's objectives are as follows:

• To establish national and international collaborations for interdisciplinary research and technology applications in the automotive field,
• To conduct scientific studies on automotive, to provide laboratory environments for undergraduate and graduate courses on the subject; to support education, graduation studies and graduate thesis studies,
• To encourage cooperation between universities, industry, business world and non-governmental organizations on automotive issues and to share the applicable results with the relevant sectors,
• To carry out studies on the solution of technical problems in cooperation with private sector and public institutions, especially industrial organizations, to develop joint projects and training programs by supporting technology development and application projects.
